Mixtures
Section Purpose:
This documentation describes what mixtures are, what properties they have, and how to manage their list in the system. This allows users to efficiently browse, add, edit, and import/export mixtures used in formulas.
Basic Information
Section titled “Basic Information”Each mixture has the following properties:
- Name - the official name of the mixture.
- Peripheral administration - whether the mixture can be administered peripherally (yes/no).
- Central administration - whether the mixture can be administered centrally (yes/no).
- Volume (ml) - the volume of the mixture.
- Total amount of calories (kcal) - the sum of calories in the mixture.
- Amount of non-protein calories (kcal) - the amount of calories derived from sources other than proteins.
- Osmolarity (mOsm/L) - osmolarity of the mixture.
- Kcal per gram of nitrogen - the number of kilocalories per gram of nitrogen.
- Amino acid supply (g) - the amount of amino acids in the mixture.
- Nitrogen supply (g) - the amount of nitrogen in the mixture.
- Fat supply (g) - the amount of fat in the mixture.
- Glucose supply (g) - the amount of glucose in the mixture.
- Potassium - default dose and maximum dose of potassium.
- Magnesium - default dose and maximum dose of magnesium.
- Calcium - default dose and maximum dose of calcium.
- Phosphates - default dose and maximum dose of phosphates.
- Sodium - default dose and maximum dose of sodium.
- Vitamin sets - ingredients from a given group, default dose and maximum dose.
- Trace elements - ingredients from a given group, default dose and maximum dose.
- Immunomodulating ingredients - ingredients from a given group, default dose and maximum dose.
- Vitamins - ingredients from a given group, default dose and maximum dose.
Importing and exporting mixtures
Section titled “Importing and exporting mixtures”The system allows importing and exporting mixtures in CSV format directly from the mixtures table.
- CSV import:
- Use the “Import” button above the mixtures table.
- Select a CSV file containing mixture data conforming to the required template.
- After confirming the file, new mixtures will be added to the system or updated if they already exist.
- CSV export:
- Use the “Export” button above the mixtures table.
- The system will generate a CSV file containing the current list of mixtures along with their properties.
Frequently Asked Questions
Section titled “Frequently Asked Questions”Who can add and edit mixtures?
Only users with the appropriate permissions (e.g. administrator or pharmacist) can manage mixtures.
