Templates

Section Purpose:

This documentation describes templates - patterns that feed Template (RDT) prescriptions. It contains information about template properties, its variants, and managing the list.

A template is a ready-made composition pattern used to issue Template (RDT) prescriptions for adults. Instead of composing a formula from scratch, the physician selects a template and its variant.

Each template has the following properties:

  • Name - the official name of the template.
  • Peripheral administration - whether the template can be administered peripherally (yes/no).
  • Central administration - whether the template can be administered centrally (yes/no).

A single template can have multiple variants differing in volume and composition. Each variant includes, among others:

  • Name
  • Min vol. - minimum volume.
  • Max vol. - maximum volume.
  • Non-protein kcal - amount of non-protein calories.
  • Amino acids
  • Fats
  • Glucose
  • Nitrogen
  • as well as electrolytes and other composition values.

Variants are added, edited, and cloned within a template.

In the templates view you can:

  • Add a new template and its variants.
  • Edit an existing template.
  • Clone a template as a starting point for a new one.
  • Archive templates that are no longer used.

The system allows importing and exporting templates in CSV format directly from the templates table.

  • CSV import - use the “Import” button and point to a CSV file conforming to the required template.
  • CSV export - use the “Export” button to download the current list of templates.
What are templates used for?

Templates feed Template (RDT) prescriptions for adults - they allow you to quickly issue a prescription based on a ready-made pattern instead of composing the composition from scratch.

Who can add and edit templates?

Only users with permissions from the Templates category (creation, editing, archiving).
